Haul #1

If you're a keen reader of my blog you'd already know that I went shopping today. I thought I'd give you a little insight into all the beauty goodies I bought as I've yet to do a real beauty post on here. The foundation I bought was rather expensive but I thought it may be worth it, keep you posted on that one.

Not sure if this happens to anyone else but all of the key pieces to my beauty regime run out at the same time, leaving me in a rather difficult financial situation. Do I A stop washing my face etc or B break the bank... times are hard! As you can tell I went for the latter. But oh well my regime will live to see another day.

Today I went shopping for the first time in forever! I know it sound weird but seeing a clothes display -racks and all- makes me unbelievably happy. It gets my heart racing, my hands clapping and my eyes rapidly scanning the isles. It's such a key therapeutic experience, a lack of shopping actually gives me the grumps. So it was such a relief to just splurge!

Yo ho, yo ho, a pirates life for me!

I went to Costa today (other coffee shops are available ;)) with my besties and I realised just how much I'm going to miss them. Universities looming so of course we're splitting up, going our separate ways... well for now anyway. I can literally talk to them about anything though (I'm sure you understand) and the prospect of not being able to see them straight after a tragic event is quite frightening. Aaahh, guess it's time to prepare for miss independent.
Reckon I look a bit like a pirate wench in this outfit, hence the random title.

Shirt: (now ruined by paint) Primark
Waistcoat: Thrifted

Good luck with your next step in life!

It's the thing in life I regret the most, leaving you standing there

Today I came to the realisation that healthy eating is very important. For lent I decided to give up all things unhealthy, I know, it's a pretty big ask, perhaps it's even impossible. Conversely I pursued and within a day already felt more alert and raring to go, it was definitely showing effects. All from cutting out the chocolates and crisps from my diet! Yesterday however, was a major set back I had two nutella crammed pancakes, numerous slice of pizza and a tantelising Mexican hot chocolate, no regrets. But today (yes you guessed it) I feel like utter crap, yes I'm back to my lethargic, hardly awake self. Lesson learnt people; eat crap, feel crap.

Style Icon: #3 Ellie Goulding

Not only has she got the most amazing clothes but she is dating Radio 1 heartthrob Greg James, I am more than jealous! Her unique shaved haircut and androgynous style makes her seem edgy but her soft eyes give her a girly vibe, something you can't buy at Topshop. The thing I love most about her though; she is not the medias idea of beautiful. She has a longer face, larger nose, thinner lips etc. than those airbrushed alien types from Maybeline advertisements but she is still stunning. Just goes to show, you don't have to look like the magazines depiction of beauty in order to be gorgeous, you can be yourself.

Love from,
Tam

Ps. Has anyone else noticed she seems to put her arms up a lot? Very windswept

There is a road to happiness we just haven't found it yet

I saw this dress in the window of my local boutique and automatically fell in love. The shape is so feminine and rather flattering, plus tartans a winter trend that comes round every year, sold! The dress reminded me of one I saw Lucy from "The Only Way is Essex" wear, she looked absolutely gorgeous.

Feeling rather ill so I came home from school early, the rest of the days been full of napping and catching up on "Skins". I guess, everyone needs a bit of 'me' time now and again.

Coat: New Look
Dress: Boutique
Tights: ASDA
Shoes: New Look Sale
Earring: Boutique
Belt: Hand me down

Love you lots,

Ps. Have a good weekend!

It's Over

Hard to please,
you make me feel so fragile
you talk in riddles,
you're hard to decipher...
tell me, is this worth it?
if I can fault you
surely you're faulting me
tearing me apart in your mind
and it's quite clear I'm not your perfect
but frankly neither are you, mine
no one is
I can't settle for this
it may be much but I need to be your everything
and I think I'm done trying

Follow me down to the red oak tree

Heyyy,
For lent I'm not really giving anything up but I'm going to try and start exercising, which is harder than it sounds. I'm really not a fan of the whole rapid heart beat thing, but we'll see how this goes! What are you giving up for lent? Before you say chocolate,I tried that a couple of years back and it's torture, don't put yourself through it! On a more topical note, today I heard about a really tragic death, a boy who used to got to my school unfortunately died in a car crash. He was so young so it seems impossible! But it just goes to show how fragile life is. All my thoughts go to Ben Wesley's family and friends, may he rest in peace.

Now I'm breaking at the britches and at the end of all your lines

Hey hey everybody,

This was a bit of a Birdy inspired look that I meshed together from my very kind friends clothes. I stayed round the night to lose scrabble virginity, I know, how can I be 17 and not even attempted a game of scrabble? I just do not know, but I do know that I'm pretty much addicted now and I cannot wait for a rematch (of course I lost, being an amateur). Anyway, being me, I forgot a change of clothes, so my friend kindly lent me these.

Angora Jumper: Lipsy
Dress: Primark
Tights: god knows
Boots: Topshop

Please do excuse the very attractive name badge, completely forgot it was there. Does your school make you wear them? I'm convinced we're the only one.

Happy Pancake Day!
Love,
Tam
